Welcome message and CAPTCHA
In regular groups, Wardy can send a welcome message and ask new members to pass CAPTCHA before they can fully participate.
What you can configure
- turn welcome messages on or off;
- customize welcome text;
- turn CAPTCHA on or off;
- set how long a new member has to complete CAPTCHA;
- optionally skip CAPTCHA for members invited by an owner or admin.
Configure this in the admin panel for the selected group.
Important
Welcome message and CAPTCHA are available for regular groups only. They are not used in channel discussions.
Tip
If newcomers are stuck, check CAPTCHA timeout and whether Wardy still has permission to restrict members.
